AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) – Three people are dead following an early Saturday morning plane crash near the Amarillo airport.
Emergency crews responded to this crash in the overnight hours near I-40 and Pullman Road.
Rico Aviation, an air ambulance service, posted on its Facebook page just before 4 a.m. confirming three of its crew members were killed in the crash.
Crews on scene told ABC 7 News the plane was taking off in severe weather when it crashed.
The National Transportation Safety Board confirms it’s now investigating the accident.
The NTSB says the aircraft was a Pilatus PC-12.
