I was in a four year relationship that ended around Christmas. This was pretty devastating and I felt like I was never going to find anyone else that would make my heart sing. Fortunately, I got over that within a few months and I started dating again.
Since I am a homebody, meeting guys online is the only way I am likely to get a date, so I placed a personal ad in March. I got a response within a couple of days and the guy who replied seemed really sincere. The only problem is that he lives in Amarillo, TX and I live in Bangor, ME. This is a very long distance, but I know that he is worth all of the time and effort I will have to put into this.
I have never been to Texas, but I heard that it is a very nice place to live when it comes to property value. I have watched several home shows where people get property there and they are able to find gems without spending an unreasonable amount. If things work out with me and this guy, I will not mind taking all of my stuff and heading there.
This is probably crazy since I really do not know him that well, but I think like is all about taking chances. Sitting around and hoping for the best is not a good way to get results. Even if things turn out bad, it will be great to have a new experience.
I do not want to jump the gun and start moving too fast, but I am over 50 and I am not getting any younger. If things are still going strong by the end of the year, I will consider moving there in 2018.
